Programs and services especially for children.
The Grand Junction Public Library offers programs for children of all ages
  • Horizons After School Program -

     Volunteers will provide after school homework help for East Greene students in grades 2-5.  

     Registration is required. Forms are available at the library or at the school.

     This program is held Mondays and Thursdays at the library from 3:30 - 4:45 pm.

     The program will end in mid April with the beginning of the little league softball and baseball seasons.

     There is no program if there is no school or early dismissal on those days.

  • Items in the children's department -

    • fiction books (board books - young adult books)
    • non-fiction books (board books - young adult books)
    • Audio books - some with book
    • DVD's
    • magazines
    • for use in the library - puzzles, and play tables (blocks, coloring, etc.)
    • Wii (use of the Wii is limited to library patrons with no overdue materials or fines)
    • art display made by our young friends (any child may bring art for display)
